Josh Dooley & Claire Feuille

He was a grumpy 80 (?) year old tinkerer obsessed with ancient VCRs. She was a swashbuckling, ukelele-playing bard with a secret past. You know, that old chestnut.
They met the way any sensible couple meets these days: Dungeons and Dragons. But it wasn't until they walked through the West Village together after a rooftop party, Claire's feet suffering from ill-chosen heels, that they became determined to become true friends. When they arrived at their usual trivia haunt, St. Dymphna's, Josh presented Claire with band-aids for her feet and a promise to spend more time together.
After a beautiful summer of plays, restaurants, and board games turned into an autumn of apple-picking, walks down beautiful tree-lined blocks (ask us about that one), and more board games, they decided they could no longer deny the obvious: they had fallen in love.

Over the following 3 years, Claire and Josh traveled the world, started a company, blended their cat family, transformed their apartment, and played many more board games. One of their favorite games is Splendor, a gem-trading game of mercantile backstabbing which Josh basically never won - until one day he tucked a ring in the bag of gems for Claire to find. He still lost that game.
However, if you've found yourself reading this page, it should be obvious that it worked out for him in the end. You should also know, if you're reading this page, that you have contributed to their story in a meaningful way, and they are excited to see you in Scotland!
